What are Cosmetic Injectables?
Aesthetic Contours
Dr. Heidari understands that only some people are surgical candidates for health reasons or time restrictions. That’s what makes non-surgical procedures like cosmetic injectables so innovative; they can be incredibly effective and excellent for those looking for an alternative step forward that doesn’t involve surgery. That is why we offer a variety of filler and neurotoxin injections at Contour Aesthetic Center. Cosmetic Injectables are used to relax facial wrinkles and folds, like those pesky smile lines. They also contour the body, such as reducing the appearance of a “double chin,” and improve the signs of facial fat loss by creating structure, framework, and volume to the face and lips. To better understand the process of injectables, we would like to introduce to you the two major types we specialize in.
Neurotoxins
This is the most common cosmetic procedure in the United States, with highly recognizable names such as BOTOX®, Dysport®, and Xeomin®. Dr. Heidari in the Inland Empire uses these Cosmetic Injectables to enhance the appearance of fine lines on the forehead, between the eyebrows, and around the eyes—it’s highly effective for “Crows Feet.” Chances are you have heard of these injectables, and our highly skilled team is here to tell you that your curiosity has landed you in the right place.
The muscle action under your skin creates those facial lines that most people can’t stop seeing when they look in the mirror. Neurotoxins used at Aesthetic Contours block the chemicals that cause these muscles to contract, thereby relaxing them and making the skin appear smoother and younger. The results from Neurotoxin Injections are visible within three to seven days and last for about four to six months, depending on skin type.
Cosmetic Fillers
Dr. Heidari uses what’s known as Cosmetic Fillers to restore the volume and fullness of your skin and to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines that appear from your nose to the corners of your mouth, otherwise known in the technical world as Nasolabial Folds. Cosmetic fillers are either hyaluronic acid or calcium-based microspheres suspended in gel form. Hyaluronic acid is naturally produced by your body, which means the risk of side effects is very small. Brand names for hyaluronic acid fillers include Juvederm™ Ultra, Juvederm™ Ultra Plus, Voluma®, Restylane®, and Restylane Silk®. Radiesse® is a calcium-based filler.
